A Victorian sterling silver twin handled sugar bowl and sugar sifter, London 1892 by Wakely and Wheeler
in the historicist style, of octofoil lobed form with a rounded base upon a domed circular foot. The body profusely decorated with embossed decoration of spiral fluting and foliate scrolls with grotesque marks, with twin handles formed as griffins. Engraved to each side, Mildred May Mary Brady-Butler, from her Godparents 17th May 1898. Together with a matching sugar sifter, pierced shell form bowl, with twisted stem and cast winged beast finial. Each full marked. (2)
