A CHINESE BRONZE 'LOTUS POND' INCENSE BURNER.

17th Century.

The compressed circular body with a short flared rim, cast to the sides with twin C-shaped dragon handles, each side decorated with a panel enclosing two ducks on the surface of a pond surrounded by lotus leaves, flowers and seed pods, all raised on three short legs, a three-character mark reading Song yue lu within a recessed square to the underside [Companion of pine and moon], 17.4cm wide, 1.35kg.
