Comprising two rectangular cigarette cases or cardholders, the exterior finely engraved with typical Qajar and Pahlavi silver's motifs including interlocking split palmettes, cusped arabesque cartouches filled with intricate vegetal and floral trellis, knotwork, fleshy rosettes and stylised lotus flowers, and pairs of birds, the interior parcel-gilt and stamped with the maker's mark Reza and the numeral '84', the largest case engraved on the interior 'Happy Birthday Dearest Leah' (English), the largest 12cm x 8cm.
