A George III sterling silver dish cross, London 1789 by William Abdy I (reg. 24 June 1763, d.1790)
of apposable X-form with a central circular section with beaded rim, with a pierced rosette heightened with bright cut engraving. Each branch terminating with a beaded circular stud. Each arm with an apposable footed section support section, the pierced body with C scrolls raised on a pierced rosette circular foot with beaded rim. The upper dish supports with pierced rosette heightened with engraving and a beaded edge. Fully marked to one arm, makers mark and lion passant to the other arm, the underside of centre with lion passant only.
