Luciano was born in1951, in Lucerne, Switzerland, and pursued his artistic education under Max von Moos at the School of Applied Arts in his hometown. Castelli relocated to Berlin in 1978, immersing himself in the avant-garde and punk scenes. Influential artists like Salomé and Rainer Fetting, known for their Neo-Expressionist paintings, played a pivotal role in shaping Castelli's artistic trajectory. At present, he divides his time between Zurich, Switzerland, Paris, France, and Sevilla, Spain. Castelli's works are prominently featured in prestigious collections including the Ludwig Museum in Cologne, the Musée de Cannes, and the Kunstmuseum Lucerne.
