A large pair of Victorian sterling silver ewers, London 1868 by George Fox
Of inverted baluster form upon a domed circular foot, the everted neck with chased rocaille decoration leading to an acanthus capped double C scroll handle. The bodies with embossed decoration of lion masks and roundles adjoined by laurel swags, the neck with a band of laurel above a beaded section, the lower section of body with embossed acanthus leaves, the foot similarly embossed and with a beaded rim. Each fully marked to the neck. (2)
