Lot 377 - Crawford (Joan) A group of 6 typed letters...

Crawford (Joan) A group of 6 typed letters signed ('Joan') to long time fan Frank Halls, all on personalised stationery, thanking him for various gifts and greetings, one saying how sorry she is for not meeting Frank during her stay in England but "I was working very long hours at Bray Studios...and I had no time at all for social activities"; she then adds "I know so well that you have been very kind and loyal to me through the years, and I would not want to upset you in any way. It was just that my working hours were so extremely long that I had no control over what was happening to my visitors  when I was not there", 17 September 1969; a later letter thanks Halls "for the lovely New Year's card, the clipping, the French stamp, the wonderful Christmas gifts of the Morny lavender soap and sandalwood soap...you are so generous, and choose such ideal gifts for me. I love the soaps, and I am using the lavender one right now", 31 January 1970; another one reads "I am terribly sorry, but I will be out of the country  on a business trip for Pepsi-Cola in August  so I will not be able to see you in California nor in New York", 18 June 1970, all 8vo, 17 September 1969- 15 October 1970; with original mailing envelopes (6)
Estimated at £150 - £200
