A George III sterling silver cream jug, London 1781 by Thomas Shepard (first reg. 18th Dec 1769)

Of baluster form, with a punch beaded rim and a double C scroll handle, the pedestal base with a skirting circular foot. The body with embossed decoration of floral panels and spiral beading, a vacant cartouche to the front. Gilt interior. Fully marked to lip.
