An assembled pair of William IV sterling silver seven bar toast racks, London 1831/35 by Charles Fox
Each of shaped rectangular form raised upon four cast and chased open work husk and acanthus scroll feet, the reeded edges with rocaille work corners. The shaped bar sections with reeding and a central shell capped twin acanthus scroll carrying handle. The 1831 example engraved to handle with initial C in gothic script, the 1835 example engraved with initial M in cursive script to handle. Each fully marked underneath. (2)
