A MINIATURE IRANIAN SILVER SAMOVAR AND A LIDDED SUGAR BOWL

Comprising a miniature silver samovar of elongated rounded shape, with its matching serving tray, cup, and miniature teapot, the set finely engraved with typical late Qajar and Pahlavi silver motifs such as rows of palmettes and foliage, interlocking vegetal tendrils, arabesque medallions, rosette roundels and further floral designs, several horizontal overlapping fretwork bands, the bases of the samovar and miniature teapot stamped '84', the samovar 22cm high and the tray 20cm long, total weight 1170gr.; and a similarly decorated, rounded, lidded sugar bowl, stamped '84' and 'Vartan A.. O..' (Armenian Isfahani silversmith) on the base, 11cm diam. and 6cm high, weight 293gr.
