An early 20th century Iraqi silver and niello teapot, circa 1930 signed Omara, Amer, Raheem
Of inverted baluster form with a curved spout opposite a C scroll handle with rattan, a pull-off gently domed lid surmounted by a ball finial. The side with a finely nielloed scene of Tomb of Ezra with palm trees and a dhow sailing boat, the obverse with a four camels and riders, boatmen in a gufa and three dhow sailing boats. The underside of the spout with a dhow sailing boat. The lid edged with a similar river scene. Signed to the front near spout.
