A PAIR OF AQUAMARINE AND DIAMOND PENDENT EARRINGS BY CARTIER, CIRCA 1935
Each square-cut aquamarine suspending an articulated pendant of geometric design, set with a step-cut aquamarine and oval-cut aquamarines, the whole pierced and set throughout with old brilliant-cut diamonds, terminating in a similarly-set tassel, post fitting, diamonds approximately 1.50 carats total, signed Cartier London, length 3.8cm, possibly adapted
Provenance:By repute, these earrings have belonged to Mary Booker, whose love story with Richard Hillary has been written by Michael Burn, her husband in a book titled 'Mary And Richard. The Story Of Richard And Hillary And Mary Booker'
