A Victorian sterling silver mounted cut glass cayenne pepper bottle, London 1865 by Robert Garrard II (reg. 16th April 1818)
the mounts with acanthus leaf mouldings and a beaded rim, the removable stopper with a bulbous stopper formed as shells and chased leaves, with a silver gilt scoop. The clear glass body with diamond cutting. Fully marked to edge and finial, additional lion passant to scoop.
