An early 20th century Iraqi silver and niello pepper pot, Basra circa 1930 signed Zahroon
Of double trapezoid form upon a square base on four ball feet with a screw thread. The sides with nielloed decoration of fishermen in a mashoof, three mudhif on the riverbank, dhow sailing boats, boatmen in a gufa, two camels with walkers, sheep by a palm tree, the Taq Kasra (Ruins of Ctesiphon), and the Abu Hanifa al in Nu'man, Baghdad. The top with nielloed rosettes. Signed to the side.
