Late Qing Dynasty.
Woven to depict repeated scenes of a coiled five-clawed dragon below a phoenix in flight among clouds and peony flowers against a yellow ground, the lower hem woven with the inscription Zhengyuanxing Chang Du Zao, translated as 'brocaded satin from the looms of Zhengyuanxing', 325 x 78cm.
