The production was discontinued due to a preference for pocket watches. The "Hanhart KM" became a very rare piece for collectors, difficult to find due to the already low production and the conspicuous disappearance during the war times. Our model with the signed opening tool is even rarer and appears at auction for the first time. *The same watch can be found in the publication Military Timepieces by Konrad Knirim, pp. 262, 263.
