A large George VI Art Deco sterling silver trophy, Birmingham 1947 by G Bryan and Co
The body of hemispherical form with a central girdle, upon a tapering octagonal pedestal column upon a double domed circular foot, the junction between the two formed as six classical dolphins. The twin handles formed as stylised busts of Hermes with winged helmet and bifurcated lower junction. The pull off octagonal tapering lid surmounted by a globe flanked by wings. Fully marked and part-marked. Together an ebonised wooden circular solce.
