Post-Nasrid Spain, 18th century
Of typical shallow rounded shape with a hemispherical boss in the centre, resting on a flattened, circular, concave base, painted in honey-coloured copper lustre, the decoration consisting of stylised vegetal motifs, roundels, pseudo-calligraphic epigraphic bands and abstract geometric motifs, a thicker solid band of lustre around the rim, the back with concentric circles on the full surface, 32.5cm diam.
