The god depicted standing nude, wearing the double crown with the sidelock of youth, the eyes inlaid with silver, striding forward, the right arm stretched out holding a now-missing sistrum, 16cm high Provenance: Asian private collection of Mr A.G., acquired in the 1970s. With Jaume Bagot, Barcelona. Literature: the god Ihy was the son of Horus and the goddess Hathor, often associated with the site of Dendera in Upper Egypt. He is represented holding the sistrum in honour of his mother.
