AN ANTIQUE KIRMAN CARPET, SOUTH PERSIA, 362cm. x 272cm. Very good example this type with very nicely drawn overall design. Good colour combinaton with soft light beige field. Apart of small touches of slight wear to the to pile, barley visible, this carpet has good pile, soft wool quality. Selvages rebound, well done. Ends with original kilim and fringes. Very narrow abrash across the field, common in hand woven carpets and rugs when slightly different batch of wool dye was used, showing the difference due to slight fading over time. In general this carpet is in very good usable condition. Attractive and very good furnishing piece.
