Florence, Italy, second half 19th century, attributed to Ulisse Cantagalli
In the shape of a typical mosque lamp, the compressed globular body resting on a circular splayed foot, rising to a tall conical neck, three applied loop handles around the body, painted in ruby copper lustre on cream ground, with bold pseudo-thuluth calligraphic friezes around the body and neck, the underside of the foot painted with the Cantagalli rooster mark and the number '39', 16cm high.
