A set of ten mid-18th century German silver dinner plates, Augsburg 1747-51 by Johan Peter Muller (d. 1761)
Each of shaped circular form with a moulded rim. Each engraved to the rim with an initial P surmounted by a counts coronet, all within a robe cartouche. Each marked to the reverse with town mark and date letter I (eight) and H (two), maker’s mark IPM, and assay scrape (tremolierstich). The two H plates with engraved inventory numbers to the reverse.
