A Victorian three-piece bachelor tea service, London 1883 by Aldwinkcle and Slater
Comprising a teapot, a milk jug, a twin handled sugar bowl and a pair of sugar tongs (1880). Each of compressed circular form upon a collet foot, the teapot with a short, curved spout opposite a wooden C scroll handle pinned to tubular sockets, the gently domed hinged lid with a detachable finial. Each with deep chased decoration in the Anglo-Indian Kutch style of flowers heads, birds and foliate scrolls between repeating decorative borders and fluting. Each with a vacant circular cartouche to each side. The milk and sugar with a gilt interior. Each fully marked and part-marked. (4)
