A Queen Anne Britannia standard silver tablespoon, London 1709 or 1711 by William Scarlett

Hanoverian pattern with rat tail heel, the terminal with later engraved initials B in gothic script. Together with a George I tablespoon, London 1719 makers mark obscured, the terminal engraved with initials B over M*B in Roman script, and another tablespoon London 1718 by John Millington (reg. 22nd Sept 1718), later converted to Old English pattern, with traces of original initials E*T in Roman script.
