Possibly Hoshiarpur, India, late 19th - 20th century

Each wall ornament T-shaped, the shaft of baluster-like shape, the flat shelf at the top lacquered in red on one side, and carved and polychrome-painted on the other, featuring bands of beading or 'eye motif' interspersed with lush vegetal sprays and fern-like trellis, the shelf enhanced with small wheel-like applied decorations of pierced ivory, each 30.5cm.
