An Elizabeth II modernist parcel gilt sterling silver rose bowl or centrepiece, London 1969 designed by Alex Styles (1922-2017) for Garrard and Co
of cylindrical form upon a short collet foot. The gilt interior with a detachable twenty two spoked star burst with central triangular knop. Engraved underneath “Designed for Roger and Frances Beale by Alex Styles and made by Garrard”. Fully marked to the underside, also engraved Garrard & Co Ltd, 112 Regent Street. W1. Also stamped LM incuse to the inside of the foot. Housed in a presentation card sided box for Payne and Sons of Oxford.
