Opaque pigments and black ink on cardboard, the horizontal composition depicting an elderly Rajput ruler with a white beard, most probably Maharana Fateh Singh, ruler of Mewar from 1884 to 1930, in conversation with his advisors and courtiers while overlooking a field in front of the palace crowded with boars and their cubs, an attendant shown feeding the wild animals from a raised pedestal in the centre of the composition, a Rajput prince just reaching the palatial compound on the upper left corner, the scene set within black and white rules, and yellow and dark pink borders, 31.5cm x 47cm.
