Of rectangular shape, resting on four projecting volute-like feet, the table divided into two sections, the lower unit fenced with a continuous row of horse-shoe-shaped arches resting on thin tubular columns inlaid with vertical ivory tesserae, the centre of each arch decorated with a lobed medallion with flower-collared edges and mother-of-pearl and ivory stylised rosette roundels in the middle, further arches, openwork mashrabiya panels, and rounded knobs on each edge of the table in proximity to the legs, the upper unit and tabletop a tour de force of elegant marquetry work with inlays in mother-of-pearl, ebony, ivory and bone, the centre enhanced with a Moorish geometric stellar design flanked by two rectangular cartouches filled with pairs of geometric stars (six-pointed), the decorative composition framed within a fretwork band with rosettes and knotwork, similar decorations on the raised panels to the sides, the edges of the tabletop and the lower unit inlaid with bands of diamond-shaped marquetry work with iridescent mother-of-pearl tesserae, 92cm x 88cm x 123cm.
