An early 20th century silver plated wrought copper kettle on burner stand, circa 1930 by the Duchess of Sutherland Cripples Guild
In the George II style. Of inverted baluster form with a fixed acanthus capped handle with central turned ebonised section. The stand with three scroll legs with bun feet, pinned with hinges. The body with flat chased decoration of an asymmetrical C scroll cartouche reserved with all over foliate and lattice work. The hinged domed lid similarly chased surmounted by a detachable ebonised knop finial. The stand with removable circular spirit burner. Marked underneath D.S.C.G crowned.
