A Charles II sterling silver trefid spoon, London circa 1670 by John King
Oval bowl with moulded and incised rat tail heel, the terminal engraved with a contemporaneous or near crest of a demi-lion rampant ducally crowned, holding between the paws a cross crosslet fitchée. Marked to stem, also additionally struck with a later ownership mark of an R within a star shaped punch.
