Ilkhanid or Mamluk period, Iran or Egypt, 14th - 15th century

Comprising a loose folio from an Arabic manuscript on paper, 8ll. of black ink thuluth script to the page, aya markings designed as gold rosettes, diacritic marks in red, Hizb mark and sura heading in gold, set in a cream mount, the folio 27cm x 17.5cm, 52cm x 40.5cm including the frame; and another similar folio, 13ll. to the page, aya markings designed as gold rosettes, red diacritic marks, teardrop shape Rub’ mark to the left margin in gold and blue, set in a cream mount, the folio 37cm x 28cm, 50cm x 40.5cm including the frame.
