Selection of letters, photographs and autographs by various prominent theatre figures, including: Arthur Pinero (five autograph letters, one, one declining an invitation, the others mostly discussing various arrangements, 1883-1913; one typed letter to Madame v. Pokorny, saying "Mr Scott having received a letter from my solicitors & having been plentifully abused by his brothers journalists for his pains, now declares that he had no intention of charging me with borrowing from Lindau & is writing tearful letters & articles upon the subject", 16 September 1893); Henry Irving (clipped signature); Alex Henderson (three autograph letters on Criterion Theatre headed paper, addressed to Mr Wright and discussing financial matters); Ellen Terry (clipped portion of a letter); Sybil Thorndike (autograph note and photograph signed); Charles Wyndham (typed letter declining an invitation from the Master of the Salter's Company, 6 October 1906); Ivor Novello (signed photograph and typed letter to Joan Seabrook, saying "I shall be delighted for you to use my name as a recommendation for an audition for the BBC", 1 December 1949); and a few others, v.s.
