AN ENCRUSTED OTTOMAN MEERSCHAUM PIPE
Ottoman Turkey, late 19th - early 20th century

Of typical bulbous shape, resting on a small circular flat base, rising to a tall flared neck, with brass mounts on each end, the top mount characterised by a shell-shaped lid, the sepiolite body encrusted with turquoise and red glass beads, 12cm x 11cm.
