"This picture was taken before Bob was well known, and it was the first time that I photographed him. He did a run of shows at the Lyceum in London that summer, and they have since become legendary. They are also the source of the excellent “Live!” album. I was completely bowled over by Bob, and completely unprepared for his brilliance. I was immediately converted. His voice, his band, and the message of his music… I had never heard anything like it. After this show, I was introduced to Bob at a reception, and we became fast friends."
