Qing Dynasty, Qianlong period.

Each painted on silk and inset with carved, stained and gilt soapstone with elegant figures in a garden, the first of two young maidens playing ball on a decked pathway before a pavilion, the second a young man catching a glimpse of a couple meeting by a plantain tree and rockery, each main image concealing a hidden erotic scene behind a sliding panel, each 20 x 15cm. (4)
