A pair of early 20th century Chinese export silver candlesticks, Shanghai circa 1920, marked Yu Ji, retailed by Wang Hing
Republic period. Each of cylindrical form upon a spreading circular foot, pull off dished circular sconces. The columns with pierced and chased decoration of trailing Chinese dragons amidst clouds, chasing the flaming sacred pearl, as vacant cartouches. The bases with flat chased decoration of two Chinese dragons amidst clouds. Each marked underneath and to sconces with artisan mark 敔記 (YU JI, the workshop of Yu), numeral 90, and retailer’s mark WH.
