A CHINESE PALE CELADON JADE RECTANGULAR INCENSE BOX AND COVER.

The rectangular body with rounded edges raised on a short foot, the cover pierced with precious objects entangled in leafy scrolls surrounding a central panel with a quadruple ruyi, the rims with a key fret border, with natural black markings in the stone, together with a wood box, 5.6cm long. (5)

Provenance: from a private English collection, purchased at Watanabe Shoten, together with a copy of a receipt from December 2nd 1926.
