Autograph note signed ('Charles') on two sides of a correspondence card bearing the blue printed Prince of Wales feathers at the head, addressed to Sergeant Lewis, the Prince saying that he didn't have the time before leaving last week "to say how very sorry I was to hear about the death of your dear mother", continuing "I wanted you to know how deeply I sympathise with you.
