An early 20th century Iraqi silver posy vase, dated 1938, signed Omara, Zahroon
Of conical form upon a spreading circular base, the upper section with a scalloped rim. The body with niello decoration of the Taq Kasra (Ruins of Ctesiphon) as well a camels and palm trees. The base section with a niello inscription in Arabic dated ١٩٣٨. Signed to the side.
