Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, the vertical composition depicting an Indian ruler or prince seated in the lotus position under a marble pavilion, holding his hands in prayer, in front of him a sadhu luring in a white goat, possibly part of a sacrificial ceremony, set within black and white rules and red borders, and mounted on a later white cardboard frame, 28cm x 21.7cm.
