During WWI, members of the Allied Forces and British Officers were given a formal military wristwatch for the first time in history, the Officer's Rolex. This was usually fitted with a 13 Ligne movement Aegler, mostly in silver cases which Rolex kept in production until 1930. At the time, few watches were made in yellow gold and even fewer were made in rose gold like our model which is further enhanced by containing the highly reliable 15-Jewel, Rebberg movement.

Our example has been preserved exceptionally well: the case and movement appear almost untouched, making it hard to believe the watch is almost 100 years old. The beautiful light patina on the unrestored dial reminds us of the real age of the watch, turning it into an incredible piece of history worthy of any collection.
