Ottoman Armenia or Eastern territories, 18th - 19th century
Of typical oval shape with scalloped edges, resting on a flat base engraved with two rosettes and foliage, the repoussé lid decorated with two winged cherubs on each side of a central angel with gilt wings and a circular gilt nimbus, holding his hands in prayer, 8.5cm x 6cm x 2.2cm, weighs 45g.
