AN EGYPTIAN ALABASTER BABOON Late Period, Circa 664 - 332 B.C. Of diminutive proportions, depicted squatting, with the forepaws just visible emerging from below the fur cape, with a long snout and heavy brow, 9.4cm high.  Provenance: Anonymous sale; Christie's, London, 26 November 1980, lot 174; Private collection of a lady, Rome.
