AN ANTIQUE MAHAL CARPET, WEST PERSIA approx: 11ft.10in. x 8ft.7in.(360cm. x 261cm.) Excellent Afshan design with bold multicoloured palmettes. In stylised floral vase border between stripes. Apart of localized light wear towards one end, barely visible, this carpet has good pile and is in vey good usable condition. Selvages rebound, well done. Ends with short fringes, secured.  Very good colour combination. Great furnishing piece. Attractive. ca.1900
