Opaque pigments, pencil, ink and gold on paper, comprising a vertical composition portraying a standing lady, possibly a Chinese or Mongol princess, wearing a long overcoat with long and wide sleeves lined with fur, the pictorial style reminiscent of Reza 'Abbasi and the Safavid Isfahani School creations, mounted onto later concentric polychrome and marbled borders, 30cm x 21cm; and another portrait of two elderly men, possibly Sufi sheykhs, in conversation, framed within an illuminated album border with cut-out calligraphic cartouches and manuscript frontispiece polychrome illuminations, mounted onto later concentric card borders, 31.3cm x 22.5cm.
