Hindu manuscript on wove paper, 175ff., with 9ll. of black and red ink Devanagari script to the page, including various texts like the list of 108 names of Lord Ganesha; the 11th Chapter of the Devi Mahatmya; a prayer to Lord Jagannath, Jagannathastakam; and further prayers, the text accompanied by five polychrome-painted and gilt illustrations featuring Hindu and Vedic deities, encased within black rules and bright red borders, every chapter opening with a red ink invocation to Sri Ganesha, the Remover of Obstacles, the outer borders of each page painted in light yellow, with marginal notes and index, the cardboard binding lined with silver thread-embroidered burgundy silk with floral motifs, the text panel 10cm x 15cm, the page 13.6cm x 20cm.
