A CHINESE EMBROIDERED PURPLE-GROUND LADY'S SILK JACKET.

Late Qing Dynasty.

Fastened to the side, worked in colourful silk threads with vases, blossoms and fruit, with yellow and blue borders woven and embroidered with birds and blossoms, 137cm across, 103cm long.

Provenance: from a private English collection acquired in China in 1920-30s.
