A CHINESE WHITE-GLAZED RELIEF-DECORATED 'LOTUS POND' VASE.

Qing Dynasty, a six character Qianlong mark and of the period.

The ovoid body moulded with egrets wading in a shallow pond, lotus blooms and foliage emerging from the surface of the water, birds in flight above, the short flared foot with a band of lotus blossoms, 21cm H.

Provenance: English diplomatic collection, acquired in Beijing in the 1950s, thence by descent.
