Qing Dynasty, 19th Century.
With a side fastening, embroidered on a vivid orange ground with roundels of dragons among clouds reaching out for sacred pearls, all above stylised waves crashing against stylised rock and engulfing auspicious symbols, the collar worked with blossom, fruit and double gourds on a yellow ground, lined with yellow silk.
