AN ANTIQUE KURDISH RUNNER, NORTH PERSIA

The shadded indigo field with overall multicolour of open herati design, together with stylised birds In triple meandring angular vine border. Outer arroe-head and plain stripes. approx. 409cm x 120cm. Very nicely drawn design with very good colours. This runner has good pile. Salvages partly rebound, touches of fraying. One end with original kilim, other end with short fringes secured. This runner was woven on wool foundation. In general this rug in in very good condition. Attractive and good furnishing piece.
